LinkedIn Premium Plans, Free Trial and Account Rules

LinkedIn Premium is the paid side of LinkedIn, and LinkedIn allows one personal account for every person, as how to create a LinkedIn account explains. This topic gathers what LinkedIn Help says about the Premium plans, the free trial, cancelling and duplicate accounts. Two guides in this topic are live. Is LinkedIn Premium Worth It weighs the plans against your goal, and Manage Multiple LinkedIn Accounts covers merging and admin roles. Two more are planned. They cover seeing who viewed your profile and deleting an account. We have not bought a plan ourselves, so the facts below come from LinkedIn Help and two outside sources.

LinkedIn Premium Plans

LinkedIn Help, checked on 25 October 2026, lists a basic free account and seven paid products. The basic account lets you search and view profiles, ask for recommendations and save up to three searches. The table shows the monthly InMail credits that LinkedIn Help gives for five plans.

Plan What LinkedIn Help says it is for InMail credits
Premium Career Getting hired and getting ahead 5
Premium Business Business insights and growth 15
Premium All-in-One Finding clients, showing a small business and hiring 30
Sales Navigator Core Generating leads 50
Recruiter Lite Finding and hiring talent 30

LinkedIn Learning and Premium for companies are the other two products. The comparison table also lists private browsing, a profile viewers list that reaches back 365 days and profile writing assistance. LinkedIn Help says only the account owner can buy these plans.

What LinkedIn Premium Costs

LinkedIn Help lists no prices in the article we read. Two outside sources give figures, and they do not match.

Plan Neal Schaffer Dropcontact
Premium Career $39.99 a month or $239.88 a year About €29.90 a month
Premium Business $69.99 a month or $539.88 a year About €59.99 a month
Sales Navigator Core $119.99 a month About €79.99 a month

Neal Schaffer revised his article on 6 October 2026 and does not name the currency. Dropcontact shows no date and sells email finding tools. The gap points to price changes by country or date, so check the price screen in your own account before you buy.

Free Trial and Cancelling

LinkedIn Help says some members can try Premium free for one month. Trial length can vary by region and the member needs a valid credit card. The trial becomes a paid plan unless you cancel first. A member who cancels a free trial cannot get another for at least 12 months.

Cancelling follows the rules below, per LinkedIn Help.

  1. Choose how you bought The steps differ for LinkedIn, the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  2. Cancel early Do it at least one day before the next billing date.
  3. Know what stays A paid plan stays to the end of the billing cycle. A trial ends at once.
  4. Return to Basic The account goes back to the free plan and Premium features stop.

Premium for Company Profiles

Premium for companies is a separate subscription for company profiles, says LinkedIn Help. A super admin of the company profile must subscribe, and LinkedIn is making it available in stages. Its features include verification, a weekly list of members who visited, a custom button, a client testimonial, credibility badges and up to five dynamic cover images. LinkedIn does not state a price. MediaPost reported on 17 April 2024 that fees seemed to start at $99.99 a month, quoting TechCrunch.

LinkedIn Multiple Accounts

LinkedIn Help says creating multiple profiles is not allowed under the Professional Community Policies and User Agreement. Our guide to managing multiple LinkedIn accounts covers the merge steps, what a merge drops and how admin roles let a team share company profiles.

What is Still Unconfirmed

LinkedIn states no price in the Help articles we read. The two price sources differ, and neither names a country for its figures. We read no independent test of whether LinkedIn Premium pays off for any group. The sources we read say some job seekers and sales teams find value, and that casual users see less, but those are opinions. LinkedIn Help does not name a penalty for a duplicate account in the merge article, so we state none.
