Other Social Media Platforms and Apps

Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, BeReal, SoundCloud and Clubhouse. What every one is and where our guides stand.

Other social media platforms are the apps outside the big names like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. This section covers six of them. They are Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, BeReal, SoundCloud and Clubhouse. No guide is published yet. Eleven are planned. Until then, this hub says what every platform is and what its audience figures mean. Every guide will be marked Tested or Checked, as our editorial policy explains.

Where These Guides Stand

Apps change their menus without notice, so a guide here shows when it was last checked. A guide is Tested when Namrata Arora tried the steps on a real account and Checked when it was compared with official help only. Changes are logged on our change log. To find a term, use the SMTwist search or the social media glossary. If you have tested a feature on one of these apps, you can pitch it through Write for Us.
