These terms of use apply to Social Media Twist at smtwist.com, which is operated by Namrata Arora. By reading a guide, sending a pitch or using any other part of SMTwist, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use SMTwist.

Who can Use SMTwist

SMTwist is written for adults. You do not need an account. Anyone under 18 should ask a parent or guardian before sending us anything.

What You can do With Our Content

Everything on SMTwist, including the guides, caption lists, glossary entries, screenshots, infographics and the design, belongs to SMTwist or the writer credited on it.

You Can

read and follow any guide for free
use captions, bio ideas and hashtag lists on your own social media posts
quote up to 100 words from a guide with a clear link back to the original guide
share a link to anything on SMTwist anywhere you like

You Cannot

copy a full guide, caption list or glossary entry onto another website, app, PDF or social media account
use our screenshots or infographics without written permission
remove the writer's name or the Social Media Twist name from any quote
scrape SMTwist or use its content to train an AI model without written permission
use SMTwist in a way that breaks the law or harms other readers

Following a Guide

Every guide on SMTwist is marked Tested or Checked, as set out in our editorial policy. Even so, apps change their menus and rules without notice and the steps on your phone can differ from ours.

Your account, your call

When you follow a guide, you are responsible for what happens on your own account. Before you change a setting that cannot be undone, like deleting a post or an account, read the full guide first. We are not responsible for lost posts, lost followers, blocked accounts or any other result of following a guide.

Trademarks and Platforms

Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and the other platform names on SMTwist belong to their owners. SMTwist is not linked to any of them. A guide about a platform does not mean the platform has approved it.

Guest Posts

If you send us a guest post, these terms of use apply along with our guest post guidelines:

You keep the copyright to your post.
You give SMTwist a free, ongoing right to publish, edit, format, update and keep the post on SMTwist and to share it on social media and in any email update we send.
You confirm the post is your own work, has not been published anywhere else and does not copy anyone else's text or images.
You confirm the screenshots are yours and do not show other people's private information.
You agree not to republish the post elsewhere. You can share a link and a short summary.
Should we take the post down, your right to republish it returns to you.

Comments and Emails

When you email us a correction, a question or a tip, you allow us to use it to improve a guide. We can mention a correction in the guide without your name unless you ask us to credit you.

Limits of Our Responsibility

Social Media Twist provides its content "as is". We work to keep guides accurate and review them when apps change, but we cannot promise that a guide is error free or that a feature still works the same way today. To the extent the law allows, Social Media Twist and Namrata Arora are not liable for any loss or damage caused by using SMTwist or following a guide.

Nothing in these terms of use limits any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Changes to SMTwist and These Terms

We can change, move or remove any content at any time. We update these terms of use from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using SMTwist after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms of use are governed by the laws of India. A dispute that cannot be settled by email goes to the courts of India.

FAQ

Can I copy a Social Media Twist guide onto my own site?

No. You can quote a short passage with a link back to the guide. Copying a full guide, a caption list or our screenshots is not allowed without written permission.

Can I use the captions from SMTwist on my own posts?

Yes. Caption lists are there to be used on your own social media posts. Republishing the list itself on another site, as a PDF or in an app is not allowed.

What if a guide on SMTwist does not work for me?

Apps change all the time. Email connect@smtwist.com with the link and what you see and we will check the steps again. We cannot be responsible for what happens on your account when you follow a guide.

Who owns a guest post published on Social Media Twist?

The writer keeps copyright. By submitting it, the writer gives SMTwist the right to publish, edit and keep the post online and agrees not to republish it elsewhere.
